If one partner has a qualifying health plan that uses the MultiPlan network, Trinity Behavioral Health can verify that insured partner’s actual addiction-treatment benefits and may separately sponsor the other eligible partner through Trinity’s couples sponsorship model. MultiPlan is a provider network, not the insurer, so the underlying payer or plan administrator must be identified before coverage can be confirmed.

Is MultiPlan my insurance company?
No. Claritev, the company associated with MultiPlan and PHCS networks, states that MultiPlan is a nationwide complementary PPO network and that it does not offer insurance, administer benefit plans, or pay claims. The name or logo on your ID card may indicate network access, while another company is responsible for eligibility and benefits.
What if only one partner’s plan uses MultiPlan?
Trinity accepts MultiPlan network access where applicable, but the insured partner’s underlying plan must be verified for active eligibility, network status, covered services, authorization rules, and cost sharing. If the other partner is uninsured or not enrolled under that plan, Trinity may separately review that person for sponsorship.
