Yes, that arrangement may be possible. Trinity Behavioral Health can verify your qualifying PPO benefits when your plan uses the MultiPlan network while separately reviewing your uninsured or non-covered spouse for Trinity’s couples sponsorship model. Your underlying health plan—not MultiPlan itself—determines your treatment benefits. Trinity sponsorship is separate and does not make your spouse covered under your policy.
Verify Your PPO Benefits and Ask About Couples Sponsorship.
Who actually pays claims on a MultiPlan-based PPO?
The underlying insurer, employer plan, or plan administrator is responsible for benefits and claims. MultiPlan is a provider network and does not itself insure members or pay claims.
How is my spouse’s treatment handled?
If your spouse is uninsured or not enrolled under your health plan, Trinity may separately evaluate them for sponsorship. Sponsorship does not add your spouse to the policy or transfer your benefits to them.
Can we attend couples rehab together?
Potentially. Eligible couples may be able to enter couples rehab together when clinically appropriate. Each person receives an individual assessment and level-of-care recommendation.
What benefits should Trinity verify for me?
Admissions should identify the actual payer or administrator, confirm active eligibility and MultiPlan network access, review covered services, check authorization requirements, and determine your deductible, copay, coinsurance, and out-of-pocket responsibility.
Can Trinity help us travel to California?
Yes. Trinity can help eligible couples coordinate flight arrangements, arrival planning, ground-transportation coordination, travel logistics, and discharge travel planning when applicable. Exact assistance should be confirmed before booking travel.
Depending on clinical need, care may include detox, residential rehab, PHP, or IOP.
For the full MultiPlan-specific process, see the MultiPlan couples sponsorship hub.
Ask Admissions About Sponsorship and Travel to California
MultiPlan is a network, not the insurer. Coverage, authorization, sponsorship, clinical admission, and travel assistance are separate determinations.
