Trinity Behavioral Health can verify the insured partner’s Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO benefits before separately reviewing the other eligible partner for Trinity’s couples sponsorship model. Insurance verification applies only to the enrolled member. Sponsorship is a separate Trinity admissions arrangement for an eligible uninsured or non-covered partner and should be confirmed before travel.

What does Horizon benefit verification check?
Trinity can review active eligibility, PPO product, network status, covered addiction-treatment services, deductible, copay, coinsurance, out-of-pocket responsibility, and any authorization requirements.
Does verification guarantee approval?
No. Benefit verification is not the same as authorization, medical-necessity approval, or a guarantee of payment. The member’s exact Horizon plan controls benefits.
When is my partner reviewed for sponsorship?
Admissions can separately review the other partner when it is clear that person is uninsured or not enrolled under the Horizon plan. Sponsorship does not add anyone to the insurance policy or transfer benefits.
Can we still plan couples rehab together?
Potentially. Eligible couples may be able to enter couples rehab together when clinically appropriate. Each partner receives an individual assessment.
Should we verify everything before traveling?
Yes. Confirm Horizon benefits, the other partner’s sponsorship eligibility, the recommended level of care, and the travel assistance available before booking travel to California. Trinity can help coordinate flight arrangements and related logistics.
