If UnitedHealthcare approves one partner’s treatment but the other partner is uninsured, Trinity Behavioral Health may separately review the uninsured partner for its couples sponsorship model. The UnitedHealthcare approval applies only to the enrolled member. It does not automatically cover the other partner. If sponsorship and couples-treatment eligibility are confirmed, both may be able to enter treatment together.

Does one partner’s approval cover the other?
No. Coverage and authorization belong to the enrolled UnitedHealthcare member. Trinity sponsorship is a separate admissions arrangement for an eligible uninsured or non-covered partner.
What if the second partner is actually a dependent?
If that partner is enrolled and eligible under the plan, their own UnitedHealthcare benefits should be verified separately rather than assuming they need sponsorship.
Can we still attend couples rehab together?
Potentially. Trinity’s couples rehab program may serve eligible couples together when clinically appropriate. Each partner is assessed individually.

Yes. Trinity can help eligible couples coordinate flights, arrival planning, ground transportation coordination, and related travel logistics. Exact assistance should be confirmed before travel.
One or both partners may require residential rehab or another appropriate level of care.
