If Cigna approves your treatment but your spouse has no insurance, Trinity Behavioral Health may separately review your spouse for its couples sponsorship model. Your Cigna coverage or authorization applies to you as the enrolled member. It does not automatically cover your spouse. If your spouse is eligible for Trinity sponsorship and couples treatment is clinically appropriate, you may be able to enter treatment together.

Does my Cigna approval cover my spouse?
No. A coverage or authorization decision for one Cigna member does not automatically create benefits for another person. Trinity sponsorship is separate from dependent coverage.
