Yes. Eligible couples may be able to travel from another state to California for treatment when only one partner has qualifying Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO coverage. Trinity Behavioral Health can identify the insured partner’s local Blue plan, verify that member’s benefits, and may separately sponsor the other eligible partner. Trinity can also help coordinate travel and flight arrangements.

Does the uninsured partner need BCBS coverage?
No. If the second partner is not enrolled under the plan, Trinity may separately review that person for sponsorship. Sponsorship does not make the partner a BCBS member.
